Player had a $500 credit, and if he would lose $100 he would quit for a while or if it was late go to bed. He would come in Friday and leave Sunday night. Many a time he would leave minus the $500, but he knew and we knew that he was a “tough” player. Because if any of these numbers hit, he would “press” up all the numbers and if the 23 hit be would receive $138 then he would bet $10 on all the numbers and if one hits would bet $25 on all the numbers, but if he missed a number in between he would start all over again 80 ten cent chips. He won $4,700 one trip and $2,300 another trip and many a time he would leave a little winner. He was and is a “tough” player. As far as we are concerned he could take his business to another club. Instead of us “grinding” him out, he is “grinding” us out and making us like it. That is the only way to play the wheel system where you are giving yourself a chance, and if you lose you are going down fighting. You may lose, but if you continue to play this way, we know that if your numbers should start to show you are in command and we are just standing by to cash out your chips when you quit. There is nothing else we can do but say to ourselves “tough player.”
Action Numbers
One of the toughest wheels: players I have ever seen play free casino game only one way and have been playing this way for 40 years! He plays a dollar on 10-11-12-13-14-15 and 33 straight up. When the ball starts to bounce, it must bounce around one of your numbers and with a little luck and a prayer, it might fall into one of your numbers. Whereas in playing the sections, the ball may be on one side of the wheel and your section on the other side. No chance for the ball to drop into your section. That is why these seven numbers are called “action numbers.” One of these is always in action.
This is the way this man progresses. One dollar on each number. If one of them hits, he bets three dollars on each number. If one hits again, he bets $10.00 on each number. If one hits again, he bets $25.00 on each number and stays there until he loses a bet, then back to one dollar again.
Boy is he tough!
He bets a little fast, but he gives himself every opportunity without hurting his bankroll. He has won thousands of dollars many, many a time, playing this way.
You don’t have to play as high as he does. You can play with $.10 chips or $.25 casino chips, and progress the same way he does.There is a local man that comes in for lunch now and then. He would bet 3 dollars each on the numbers 14, 17, and 20. He has lost many a time and he would invest $27 three bets on each number, but if one of these numbers would hit he would bet $25 on each number trying to get a repeater, which means a number showing twice in a row. He has done this a few times and walked out over $900 winner. All we could do is waiting until he comes in the next time and try to grind him out at $27 at a time, because he will only lose $27 another tough customer. There is many a “tough” player at a wheel game, but the “soft” players outnumber them 1,000 to 1. So if you are or intend to be a wheel player, at least try to cut the odds down to where you will have a slight chance of winning.
